I never got the impression that Hef slept with Bridget or Kendra, especially when he was with Holly as #1 Girlfriend < beams >

They all had separate rooms.

Kendra met Hef when she was hired to work a party and he came down when she was being body painted.  I always felt Kendra was more of a "daughter" than "girlfriend."  She always showed so much respect for him.

I never understood why Bridget was there for what her role was.  She wasn't a thin as Holly or Bridge or as dumb.  She was just a regular educated girl.  THAT's the book I want to read.

Well, I just finished reading the book and I have to say that while it was very repetitive (Hef bad, Holly beaten down) it was a good read overall. It's a pretty thin story but she doesn't hold back and for the most part takes at least some responsibility for her immature, insecure, and often masochistic choices. Hef really takes a beating here, portrayed as a manipulative, skeevy crypt-keeper, and she pulls no punches about his methods for keep a stable of young women at his beck and call.

I do think she goes overboard with how saintly and persecuted she was by the "mean girl" harem members and her lack of self-worth due to Hef's ugliness and vanity. While she details how it began and how it ended, the middle part was all about the show. If you watched the show, it's fun to recognize the details of various episodes, however I know I'm not the only one who wanted to know more "intimate" details. Despite the fact that she shared a bed with him for years, we get no info about their actual relationship or his behind closed doors relationships with Kendra and Bridget (this was also conspicuously missing from Kendra's book too). Just seems like we're missing something.

Anyway, it's a light, fast, easy read and I wish her well in her new, happy life.

Thanks for the review and taking one for the team! Smiley Very Happy This probably would have been better as a Rolling Stone or Cosmo long form article.

Holly knew what she was getting into and she even said it herself she was too scared to leave and when Hef didn't have a baby with her or marry her, she left. They all got paid well, got free room and board and had their own chef to make them meals but they didn't eat much anyways as they had that constant pressure to stay thin and relevant. I used to watch that show years ago and it was all business as they say.

How interesting that Kendra's mom was so ticked off at Kendra for leaving that life.

Didn't Hef pay for Kendra's mom's full face lift?  I remember her bandaged up an mumbling in one of the crypts (bedrooms).

Maybe mom wanted more work done.  Enough that she would be a Hef contender.....

These women did have the ability to walk away.....from notoriety.....a mansion in Beverly Hills......delicious food cooked to order......maid service......cars.....the lifestyle they were living.....oh and television show paycheck$.

Bridget was married the whole time wasn't she?  Weird.

I wonder if they all had to sign a contract to never disclose what went on in the bedroom?

She does talk about one scene in the book.  Also, she said that she didn't ever sign a non-disclosure statement about what went on in the mansion.

THIS IS SO FUNNY!  I just went to read the reviews on Amazon and I'm like hey, I think I read this before . . . then I saw your name.  Gave you a big thumbs up or whatever they call it when your review is considered helpful . . . wow, that was really funny!

Nick Nack-- I'm unable to quote (is there a pill for that?) lol

Funny you say 'scene'.  Did she set it up as a scene?

Oh now I'm newsie.  Wonder if that part of the 'story' had a happy ending?
