Holiday Gift Preview Laughing Out Loud.

[ Edited ]

I can't sleep so I am online browsing through the QVC programs.  I came across the most recent program, " Holiday Gift Preview" and had a good laugh.  Can you imagine opening up a Christmas gift from under the tree and finding a household cleaner. etc? Is that supposed to be another version of coal in your stucking? LOl

Sorry, this really made me chuckle. Thank you QVC for starting out my day with laughter.

Me neither! LOL .  And if it was from my husband he would find himself sleeping in the shed until the next Christmas. LOL

I wouldn’t mind getting the cleaner as long as it also came with a maid.

@Calcgirl   That would be like one of those gifts where you say to the giver........You shouldn't have.  No, you really shouldn't have......   LOL

Re: Holiday Gift Preview Laughing Out Loud.

@Calcgirl   not really something I would buy for my gift shelf (if I had one), but many years ago a friend gave me a sink strainer as part of my Christmas gift.  That was the first time I had seen one.  She made me promise not to tell.

I suspect all sorts of items become gifts even though they don't seem to fall into that category.  I am not sure that's all bad because those things tend to be usable whereas I have received clothing and jewelry gifts many times that I wrote thank you notes for as I quietly regifted or thrifted them almost immediately.

I know its practical but those were my thoughts exactly.  Not impressed at all.

Re: Holiday Gift Preview Laughing Out Loud.

Not being someone who cares about getting gifts, I would sooner get a practical gift like that rather than most of the gifts I had been given in the past like: candles, ornaments, mugs,  perfumes, lotions, bubble bath and shower gels, scarves, costume jewelry or any jewelry except for good earrings, clothing that are not my style and I can go on and on!!!

If the cleaner included maid service for a long time, I would welcome a practical gift like this.
