I'm having my hip surgery on Tues. Everything has passed...cardio...anesthesiologist etc. Sounds like I'll only be in the hospital for one night. Dr. says they will get me out of bed to walk when I get back to my room. Not looking forward to that, but I know that it is important to do the therapy etc. Going to Concord Hospital & they couldn't be nicer! (NH)

Good luck with your surgery. I know a few hip replacement recipients and they have all said it was less painful and easier than knee replacement.

That didn't make me feel better at the time because I'm probably facing knee replacement sometime in my future. Right now I'm doing Aqua Therapy and it's been helping.

I think you'll be surprised at how well you do. One of our friends lives by himself and returned home when he was discharged from the hospital. He has a rancher, so he didn't need to do any steps.
