The absolute best ****** was organic catnip placed into a fabric "sausage" about 15" long and sewn shut on each end. Lasted about a year and was purchased from a catalog out of Spring Valley just east of San Diego. You'd think I could remember the name of the company? No...but will get back with the name, as this is a seriously fun and quality toy for our feline friends.
Now that's weird: why did all those asterisks appear instead of a benign word?
Anyway, the source is "Isabella" per the above.
Because you instead need to use the 'safe' version - "ni*p" - during this innoculous thread. ;-)

I'd love to try the Dream Catcher Herbal Tea with catnip, but it has chamomile in it, and I'm allergic
You could check out a catnip-lavender blend (Amazon/Ebay/Google), or just get the two seprately and blend them together whenever youe wish.
I often do this with all sorts of hot teas, and the results are usually
quite tasty..

betteb,
That's it! Wonderful toy for kitty to bite and roll around with. Simply fah-bulous.
That tea is the bomb. It is so calming. Since chamomile is out for you, try a Whole Foods or a health food store where you can purchase catnip tea. I'd also recommend purchasing skullcap tea at the same time. When I was in high school, my Dad used to make me to combo cup of tea with catnip and skullcap in it, which really helped me sleep or calm down when I was wound up around finals time.

Thanks @sfnative and @feline groovy. I will look into both. I really need something to help me sleep. I will need to also do some research on how it will mix with all these durn pills I have to take (insert eyeroll)

Alvita (previously-mentioned) and several other brands that make catnip and catmint tea can be located via:
* Amazon
* Ebay
Yes, "simply fah-bulous".

ALVITA - I remember it well! Thank you so much for bringing the name forward. That was the brand my Dad started purchasing in the 50s. It was a green and white box then. Have no idea what the packaging looks like now.

That's a nice memory, Becc.
Here's his, then ours...

Very smart, beebee, but I think you'll probably be fine. 8)
I've been taking multiple daily prescription meds since I was 19 (medical necessities), and most everyone's gotten along heh.
Everyone: always do your research first when it comes to the safety/efficacy/possible interactions of any supplement, o.t.c. med, and RX med.
The very first places I go to check things out the website of my longtime gurus:
(Dr. Andrew Weil, a renowned integrative medicine specialist who was first a botanist)
(Dr. Michael Murray, a renowned naturpath & specialist in alternative/holisitic health)

This Alvita catnip, is is for cats? I never heard of catnip tea for humans. I looked at the website, but can't seem to pull up catnip for cats. Can you help?
😊

Himi lover,
I'm not here to answer for feline groovy, but can say with absolute authority that Alvita Catnip Tea is a tea for human consumption. My Dad was way ahead of his time and so combined this Alvita tea with Alvita Skullcap Tea for me usually during finals in high school when I'd become rather tense and found it challenging to calm down and/or go to sleep. I found it very helpful. (This was in the late 50s and early 60s.)
