Re: Hilarious Surprise Wedding Entrance

I don't know what to make of this video -- you know, if there was an authentic marriage or not.

Like another, my feeling was that it was too far from the mainstream BUT I enjoyed watching it and, if a real wedding, I admired the couple's independent approach to the traditional walk down the aisle.

Unexpectedly, I found myself fiercely attracted to the groom.  Not my usual type but I have a weakness for his "look."  Did he suggest Hugh Grant to anyone else besides me?

I got married in 1973. Stuffy wedding. I would have loved to have had some frivolity and craziness in the wedding! Isn't it supposed to be a celebration of joy and happiness? My granddaughter is getting married in about a year and I hope she has some fun planned for the ceremony!

So funny you say that, when our DD got married, she and I so wanted to do something like this down the aisle, but the groom and family work for the FBI and the whole side of their aisle was "black suits and dark sunglasses".

While it isn't for me, I'm glad that everyone there had fun and enjoyed themselves.

I clearly said that the 'divorce court' video was a 'MOCK", based on the success of their wedding entrance video and it stated so in the video.

Sorry you missed it apparently.

Was this the original one?  As in first ever a bride and groom did something like this?

I know I've seen dozens since on youtube for years now.  And yes, even shows (The Office, etc) have done their versions.

DDIL's brother married an FBI agent, and they did their own version, sans dark sunglasses.

Re: Hilarious Surprise Wedding Entrance

These dance type wedding entrances are not new but whatever the bride and groom want is up to them.

I did find it odd how casual the men were dressed, though.

I happen to have a great sense of humor and love to laugh, especially during these trying times on so many levels.

Sorry you don't have one (not really!), your loss.

I do, but I feel a wedding is a joining by God, not a freak show.

Re: Hilarious Surprise Wedding Entrance

Weddings have long ceased to be about 2 people exchanging vows and starting their lives.  It's now a race to see who can spend the most money or get the most hits online.

Reminds me of a wonderful movie line: Sometimes I sing and dance around the house in my underwear. Doesn't make me Madonna. Never will.
