Higher food prices this fall

Mr Cherry was listening to the news on the radio. He heard them say food prices will be higher, do  to all the rain. Crops are rotting ,or have already rotted, in the fields. Farmers can't plant because it is so wet

Makes sense to me, if the farmers can't plant their crops the food supply will be less. Supply and demand.

I only buy produce from my local farms. I'm always haooy to pay a little more to support my locals.

@ID2   Aren't you also getting a lot of rain in MI (just curious)?  Here in NE Ohio, I'd be happy to buy from the local farmers, but they are also dealing with excess rain here.  I live a couple miles south of Lake Erie, and the lake is currently about 30" above normal......it's at an all time high with the local docks under water and shoreline erosion.  This has seriously been the worst spring ever around here.Cat Sad

it is already happening now. take a look at prices. some have jumped by a dollar when I live. I am not saying everything has jumped super high, but prices are creeping upwards now.

Yes, I didn't hear it but certainly makes sense after all the weather problems.

If clothing  prices also shoot up, it is going to be  tight for some people
