Back from the doctor. I have good news, bad news, and really bad news. Good news: he lightened up the temporary cast. There must have been 20 layers of cotton and Ace wrap. Bad news: Can't get a regular cast until Wednesday. There's too much swelling. Really bad news: I will need a cast for 6-8 weeks with no weight bearing at all. Ugh....
