fairiemoon: yes that's true and made sense... What Harry said to Quentin. The amazing things that I have seen from Quentin are mostly brief because his "wheelhouse" seems specific to a softer kind of song. I love it so much when these beautiful voices sing softly and tunefully, but that type of song (bluegrass/folksong/ballad) was more well-liked in my era. Now people often sing jazz or runs and I have trouble appreciating them.

Occasionally I could almost hear a Whitney Houston voice coming from the young Tyanna Jones, but her performances seemed inconsistent to me.

it may be that AI expects too much "showmanship" from these budding young talents. That might interfere with their ability to just show that they can SING!

Exactly right. I'm a Jersey girl and he looks like he's straight from Hoboken. And I don't understand the saucer plate of hair at the top of his head. Is that a new fad? His singing doesn't impress me at all . . . pure saloon/bar band genre.

Not surprised Daniel was eliminated, like he said I'm only 15 and I'm on A.L. I think we'll see him again when his voice matures. My favorites are Clark and Nick!

I know. She has the yellowest teeth I've ever seen. I thought they would bleach her teeth when they started the makeovers. I couldn't tell last week as she had the darn mike right up to her mouth...covering half her face. Someone should have adjusted it for her...or maybe she had it there on purpose as it might have been part of the era she was trying to portray.

Agreed. I also don't understand why they are allowing Joey to continue to appear without addressing the issue of her yellow teeth. It's distracting imo.

I haven't decided on a favorite yet. Agree it was time for Daniel to go back to school. He is a cutie, though. Sure am enjoying the judges. IMO this is the best combo yet.

This was weird - saw a girl walking the halls at the college I work with -- she wore polka dot top, poodle skirt, turquoise hair, pearls and a Joey hat. Made me go, hmmm. I know every once in a while a new 'look' emerges. Is Joey's look more common than I know among young people? No criticisms. Just wondering.

I LOVE Nick and Jax! But the other night I think Joey was good too (always has her own spin on music which I like), and I also thought that Quentin did well. I was glad Daniel left. I feel bad saying that because I really think its his voice changing at that age that makes him sing off key but that's how I feel.

I really don't care who wins. Nick has a band already, and I just hope hes getting exposure so the band gets well known because their original music is AWESOME! The band is Beach Avenue out of CT! (Yay east coast!). And I hope Jax gets signed.
