Hero of the Day: Kentucky police officer John Nissen!

From John Tesh on Facebook:

Hero of the Day: Kentucky police officer John Nissen!
He went above and beyond for a grief stricken driver named Barbie Henderson.
While driving, Barbie got word of her sister's death and pulled over to the side of the road. She was too distraught to drive and didn't know what to do so she called 911.
That's when officer Nissen came on the scene and asked if he could sit and talk with her.
Nissen says: "I turned the air vents towards her – it was over 90 degrees that day – held her hand, and she cried on my shoulder. I had her take sips of water."
He stayed with her for an hour until another family member could come and get her home safely.
When Barbie's other sister, Shonda, arrived, she was so amazed by the officer's kindness that she took a photo of the two and sent it to the Hillview Kentucky Police Facebook Page.
She wrote:
"Officer Nissen was more than an officer yesterday. He was a person with a heart to understand this was a lady who just lost her sister. From there on he took care of my sister … What an awesome guy!!!!"

Yes there are many good policeman.  There is good and bad in every group.  This lady knew that there was a need to share this story.  So glad that she did.

Would be nice if this type of police/community interaction was put out in the media daily, the same way the negative stories are. We need to see the balance to know the reality out there.

Positive People will see the positive.

Negative People will see the negative.

If you're a good person, you already know there are good officers. No need to shout it from the mountaintops or back to the Negatives. We don't need stories to 'balance'.  We know.  💛

If we don't shout the good from the mountain tops, then just what are the mountain tops for?

Just because 'we know' doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't need a reminder.

We could shout, but so many don't listen.

When we're sitting on that 'mountain' with other good, kind people, we all look around & give each other that 'knowing nod' of quiet confidence.

Yeah, we just...know.
