Joan River's NYC apartment has gone on the market and can be yours for a mere $38million dollars. They didn't say whether it's being sold stripped or with its opulent furnishings and accessories, with which she lived "very, very well". Reported on CNN.
Truly the end of an era. Nobody lives like that anymore.
Here's a picture.

Years ago I saw her and parts of her apartment on a ghost story. She always felt it was haunted. It was a stunning place.

I seem to think her apartment was a little gaudy for my taste. Not that I could afford it anyhow. LOL

@Kachina624 What an fabulous opportunity for the super wealthy!!
If I were a betting woman, I'd bet someone will buy it and enjoy living in luxury. Doubt it will be on the market very long.
Imagine the new owner will change the decor to suit his/her/their own taste and bring it up-to-date. Joan lived there many, many years. After her death, it has been sitting empty for a lengthy period of time and probably needs mechanicals and plumbing replaced or repaired as well.

@colliemom4 - I think the "ghost" was a niece of John Jacob Astor. Joan apparently found a picture of her and hung it up. After that, the ghost never appeared again!
Beautiful home!

Her apartment was sold about a year after she died to a man from Saudi Arabia I think it was. He ripped it apart and redesigned it. Don't know if he still owns it or someone else bought since then.
