What they really mean is "We put it on the wrong truck."

I guess UPS thinks "sortation delay" sounds better than "goof."

At least they know where the package is. Mine from Brighton is lost in UPS la la land and they have no clue where it is. It got within 10 miles of my house and poof no sign of it. It even went out for delivery. There's an open ticket so maybe someday they will find it and I'll get it but I don't have any hope.

@Foxxee That is a good one! Unfortunately, a large number of people won't digest what it means. I never realized how many out there just don't think or process information. For those that do, sortation delay is clever.

Yesterday I tried to pay dues online for an organization I belong to. It wouldn't work. Error message:

Execution thrown off by lack of invocation.

Maybe that wasn't such a bad result.

"Sortation" does have a certain ring to it!!!!  Can't say I've ever heard that term!

It underscores the fact of how much information processing is done out of this country by people not speaking English.

Yes, it is a real word. 

(It has nothing to do with a person's handle on the English language, btw.)
