...I say, IT'S ALL RIGHT...

Sun is out.  It is above freezing.  Snow is almost gone.  They haven't seen me personally for several days and all came running when I called.

I wonder how the deer keep warm in such cold conditions.

Apparently the armadillos don't.

I just found a dead one frozen in the snow a few hours ago.

@MamaWick   Oh how beautiful and uplifting.  I could just kiss them!  Your closeups are so detailed.  I can see the different markings on each, as well as their personalities.
Thank you!

Woofs and kisses to Cricket.  How is she doing?  Has she come out from beneath her blanket?

How did you and PapaWick do?  Hopefully well.

@geezerette   How sad.  Yes, I know it's all part of nature and the life cycle, but it still bothers me.  What did you do with the poor armadillo?

Nothing yet.  I'm not able to get back outside again today.  It's going to be in the single digits again tonight so he'll still be frozen in place.

I'll see if he's still there tomorrow, and pick him up then if he is.

In the second pic, the one deer behind the big buck, has the cutest little nubettes! He's adorable.
