Pitzel ....  I know the stress and frustration you endured during your transaction w/Ebay.

 

A few years ago, I ordered a "new" BMak leather bag over $100 ... received and loved, after 14 days I realized one of the 5 zippers was broke (never checked all zippers)-- so I guess it was 'Buyer Beware'.   The Seller would not "make it right" since I did not bring it to his attention within the allotted time.  Lesson learned.  ;-(

So, I guess that even though she wasn't willing to help me with this, and eBay even says the sellers should help the buyers, since I won the appeal, I can't leave negative feedback? Never heard of such a thing.  I'm so sick of eBay at this point!  LOL


Hmmmm.... this is interesting and the only thing I can think of is that eBay considers everything the Seller did in getting your item to you to be what was expected and eBay approved.  The fact it was "lost" in the mail and you didn't get the package eBay considers not the Seller's fault (it really isn't, it's the post office's),   .  AND eBay made it right for you by your winning the Dispute and getting a refund.  Apparently eBay doesn't consider it fair for you to give the Seller a Negative.

 

I really don't agree, I feel the Seller is responsible but now I understand why she doesn't buy full insurance in case her items are lost.... she doesn't bother getting involved.  Silly me, I fully insure....   Woman Indifferent

 

Well.... I'm sorry this happened to you but in eBay's eyes they made the sale right for you and feels the Seller doesn't deserve to be negged.  By the way, a negative will drop her percentage rating by quite a lot and be on her record for a year.  That can be quite damaging.....

No, sender is not responsible. If tracking shows package was delivered to the address given to sender, then sender is no longer liable. The buyer needs to take it up with the Post Office.

I'm sure that's ebay's thinking process.  But shouldn't the seller help the buyer with a lost package transaction?  I guess not.  Anyway, I think I'll stick to big companies.  At least when something happens to your package, they stand behind you without a hassle.  

 

I realize the post office is the one to blame here.  But, I feel like the seller should have stepped up her game to help a little bit.  What do I know?  LOL
