Tomorrow there is a Spurtle TSV.
She also shows her new measuring tools on Instagram that will be available tomorrow between 8-12 PM.
Just wondering if you know which hour show these will be sold on? I cannot watch Q all day waiting. LOL!!!

Other than the overnights at midnight and 3am, they have a cooking show with Dan at 8am-10am and then again with Carolyn starting at 12pm.
My guess would be Dan should have it or set your DVR for Mary at midnight or you'll probably be up @Nightowlz.

DH used to work nights so we stayed up late like 2-4 AM. LOL!!! Glad I'm not doing that any more. Too old for that.
I still don't go to bed until midnight so I will be watching. At least they should have it listed online where I can place an order?
Her Instagram post says everyone has been waiting for this so it will probably sell out.
I never turn on the TV until after DH comes home from work. I'm usually busy walking, cleaning, laundry or serching for something on the internet.
I need to go finish my 4 miles. LOL!!!

@Nightowlz I'm tempted to stay up even thought I'm still in the working world. I would think it would go live on QVC.com come midnight so you don't have to wait all day for it.
I'll be setting the DVR myself and, if I do decide to go with the TSV, please leave a purple set for me! LOL

Not to sidetrack your question....but does anybody know what the difference is between the two woods used for making the spurtle sets? Is the 'Pakka' wood more durable than the 'Acacia' wood or vice versa...does one splinter or split more easily than the other after continued use?

@Pipsqueak I don't know the answer to the difference in wood but @CLEM made a suggestion in the kitchen forum today to rub the wooden spurtles with butcher block oil every couple months. It's apparently worked very well to keep them brand new.

Laura14, thanks for the tip from CLEM

Online it says Pakkawood, also sold as Staminawood, Colorwood, Dymondwood and compreg, is an engineered wood/plastic composite material commonly used in knife handles and other objects that see rough wear. It can closely resemble conventional wood, or come in a range of bright colors.
Pakkawood produces a very dense product that is largely waterproof, providing much of the same look and feel as wood, but without the warping and splitting common in real wood. This material holds up well in knife and tool handles, especially those exposed to wet and adverse environments. This type wood composite takes an attractive polish, but can be brittle if cut into thin cross-section pieces. More info at Hunker dot com.
