But if it was ravioli it would just be water on the stove, not a bunch of crust that needs to be scraped or whatever.

Unless it exploded!

yummy, stringy boiled cheese---my favorite Mr S doesn't like it so I fix boiled Shredded wheat for him

I can't imagine. If it was ravioli, it sounds like it got over-cooked and split and the cheese blended with the water and it boiled over the pot, which was probably set on high (or 9).... I have a glass stovetop also and they get hot very fast. As soon as the water boils, you have to lower the heat. It will still keep boiling but it won't run over. You cannot walk away when you are boiling something - it takes that quick.....
