Changed our phone number. It was the one on Amazon account. So when I went to log in with the 2 step verification of course I could not get in, since they could not text the code.
Sooo I called Amazon Customer Service and they said they would help.. and would take off the 2 step thing within 72 hours.
It has been far longer than that now and NOTHING.
Would you contact them again OR just make a new Amazon Account??

Thank you. Not sure this would work since I cant log in though. Due to the 2 step verification! That is a good thing to have at times.......BUT not always!!

Contact then again. Do not set up another account. That will only complicate matters.

When I retired I forgot to take my work email and phone number off of amazon. I was able to logon for years but suddenly it was an issue. I was going to just open a new account but my husband didn't want to lose our history of past purchases. I called and they were very helpful. They fixed the issue while I was on the phone with them. I would as it to be fixed while you speak to them.

That sounds good and glad they were helpful.
Both times I called they were nice but the first time he either hung up on me or we got disconnected.
The next time the lady was so nice and helpful and said it would be taken care of.
