They have a sponge ball attached to an elastic cord that you attach to the ceiling of yur garage. These are inexpensive and they work. I've seem more expensive items but this thing lasts.

If you want a cheaper version then cut some wide ribbon and tape it to the garage ceiling with masking or duct tape. You can make a line of them to make it easier on you.

Garage parking assistant or something similar....we have two and they are mounted on the wall/eye level....the light flashes yellow as I come into the garage and then when I am at the point where I have to stop (predetermined by me) the red light comes on....if you look on ebay you can find them. I think we got ours at Radio shack, years ago.

They make parking mats with stops (bumps) which you place on the floor so when you drive into the garage the mats have a bump on them to stop you from going any further.

I pull my car in until my radio antenna lines up with a lighting socket on the side wall of the garage. You've got lots of good suggestions here. I've always used little landmarks such as lining up with the pull down attic cord, or the lighting socket or a physical garage feature. If you don't have an antenna use your side mirror as a guide. Shouldn't be too difficult a problem to solve.

The tennis ball worked until my son showed it to my Jack Russell. He would jump at it trying to get it until his tongue hung out. EVERY time we went out!

I replaced it with a small rubber garden hose washer and it works fine. I also have the warning signal in my car and it's great!
