Help please with Liver Transplant?

My sister just called and my brother in law is not doing good. He has many doctors and I JUST AM CURIOUS........I am not seeking medical attention.

If he were to loose his job or if he can keep his job would medicare help pay for this transplant? His insurance would not cover it all of course and it is going to be thousands and thousands..probably over $100,000 I am guessing so could they get on Medicare too to help with costs?
