Happy Friday,Some of you know I am waiting on an apartment........the reason I want to move is that my carpet is horrible and can't be cleaned and my walls need new paint. I am renting. I have been here 8 years. The ceiling in my bathroom has never been fixed since I have lived here. Yet in the last 8 years my rent has only gone up $30. I am going to stay with the landlord.
They called yesterday and the apartment I am moving into is ready......well, here is my problem. The appliances are old but that is fine when they go out I will get new ones.
The counter top in the kitchen and bathroom has pieces missing..not too bad but a few on the kitchen counter has 3-4 half dollar sizes and they are not going to give me a new counter top........bathroom not so bad........but I do like things perfect.......
2nd........it has a window unit for heat and air like I have and it is hard to get cold or warm in the winter in the bedrooms.......so I have to use electric heaters..........that is not bad BUT THE AIR CONDITIONER is like the old one I used to have here and it lets the outside air come in so when people are buring their fireplaces the smoke comes in my home and so I HAVE ASKED THEM TO CHANGE OUT THE AIR CONDITIONER.........from the one I have here taking it there but they have to build around the air contitioner because the air conditioner there is larger but surely it will go out soon. I just can't take in the outside smoke because I can smell it all through my apartment.
The ceiling in the bathroom and living room shows signs of rain and they did not paint over them.....? I asked them to repair that.
I need to make a decision by the weekend...........so if they don't change out the air conditioner/heater then I will be suffering through the winter time and summer unless the thing breaks.
I need to know what you all would do. I am on a limited budget........if I try and find an apartment that costs $650 which is the next step in this town then I can't save any money so I do have to sacrifice something. I hate the carpet here and the lack of paint......the other place is pretty except for the things I mentioned. THANK YOU. I will be paying $15 more a month and my rent will be $465 with fireplace and washer and dryer.
