Heiress, I remember you saying that your DH loved to go to the Master's Golf Tournament here in Augusta, GA.
It was just reported on our local news that because of the recent ice storm here, the famous Eisenhower Tree at the Augusta National Golf Course had to be cut down. Lots of damage done at the golf course with only about 50 days until the Master's start......but, I am sure they will have everything ready and beautiful before then. Just thought you would like to know. Sad that beautiful, famous tree had to go.

Hi Serenna. Glad to see you posting again. Yes, we're safe. It is sad about the famous tree because Pre. Dwight E. used to come here alot and they have "Mamie's cabin" on the grounds. I usually try to go every year but didn't get to go last year. Beautiful golf course. I just thought Heiress would want to know since she says she and her DH try and come to the tournament.

Hi Tansy....no - he would NOT be happy. It's been there a very, very long time. Thanks for my well wishes though, that means a lot. Have you been behaving?

Thanks Serenna....
OH GOOD LAWDY....one of my neighbors just shut her D@MN door real loud and I jumped a mile....(aftershock from the loud booming noises the other night when our limbs were falling)....D@MN, I'd a mind to go over and knock some sense into her but she's older than I am and I must be respectful....STILL.....

Yes, tansy....that is true. That's why they named it after him...I get your "he'd be happy" about it..
but OMG, did that man ever love the Augusta National! I think he would really be sad about it.
