It has been going on in the St. Louis area all evening long. Am watching the 10:00 news and they were just showing pictures....one was of a home in north county that was hit by the lightening and a fire broke out in the attic. The fireman said that most people do not have smoke detectors in their attic, and it could be a while before the smoldering fire broke out. They said usually lightening will hit the top of the house and try to find a way out by going down through the house..... They then proceeded to tell of a house where 3 TVs and other appliances were burned out. We know they tell us to turn off all electrical items when there is a lightening storm.
It is supposed to be this way now for a couple of days.....off and on.....
