Re: Heard some of our locals are headed to Georgia

@AussieLuvr    No, you're not the only one. I've canceled two planned trips, both involved seeing family members.

Today, I got to "visit" my mom.  She is in assisted living, so this visit involved me standing outside her building, speaking to her through a window that was open just a few inches.

everyone needs to be making sacrifices.  The longer they don't, the longer this goes on.

I am angry too.  Why is the Georgia governor doing this, I know enough about him to answer my own question but will not say what I want to say.

The people who choose to go are simpletons who think they are invincible.  Their arrogance is only surpassed by their ignorance.

It is up to the so called governor to stop this insanity and all the other so called governors who refuse to follow what is good for everyone in this country. If you choose to put yourself in harm's way, that is your business but when it comes to harming others health and well being, NO ONE has the right to do that.

Is this governor doing what is right for the people he is supposed to put first, it certainly doesn't appear so.

I apologize for my Governor who 1: opened the Tybee Island Beaches, 2: didn't know you could have the virus and spread it but not show symptoms and 3: says there is an April 31st.

And no I did not vote for him.

Since their beaches are open and ours are closed, they are headed to Georgia for spring break.  They say they will practice social distancing once they get there.  🤔

I'm just going to continue to enjoy the sunshine here on my back porch.  😎

And what state are you in so we can let the cdc know where the next hotspot will be?

I hear ya, but I have to wonder how to enforce it?

A few weeks from now, I'll be curious to see how this decision in Georgia impacted the spread of COVID, as well as if it made any impact on the economy there.

How about an amendment to the Constitution that says all candidates must pass an I.Q. test?

Hey @Shawnie ðŸ˜Š

I'm hoping they don't bring it back with them, but I don't plan to be out much if they do.  I'm just leaving once a week (if that) for quick trips to the grocery.  I'm next door to Georgia in South Carolina.  It's spring break here for K-12 public schools.  We've been out for eLearning for three weeks and now taking our scheduled spring break.

@wildcat fan  Not sure how you could tell if it impacted no one or hundreds unless each person is tracked.

Three of our friends went to Fla. in mid March just before things closed down in our state. They partied for a week sitting in bars and restaurants. When they came back they all had the virus.

Hopefully Ga is doing the smart thing with National Guard at entry points to their state. GA should not let them enter to go to the beach.

I thought most states make you quarantine when you cross state lines?

Not GA.  Their alleged leader just found out this thing was contagious 24 hrs. ago.

As well as all the folks THEY came in contact with between Fl & their domicile "when they came back."
