Re: Heard some of our locals are headed to Georgia

Am I the only one who is angry at the people going on vacation trips? I know five families who went on cruises or on trips requiring multiple international flights, AFTER this whole thing broke loose. I flat out asked them not to go, as did others, but they ignored us.

I am angry that the rest of us are staying home for the good of all, but they are acting like none of this applies to them.

I just read that some of the people who were flown home on charter flights along with infected individuals from the ships allowed to dock in Florida were going to sue the cruise line since COVID19 broke out while they were cruising. Personally, I'd like to sue THEM for endangering the rest of the world with their foolishness and selfishness.

Source CNN.....

"As the Pentagon ordered 100,000 body bags to store the corpses of Americans killed by the Coronavirus, Governor Brian Kemp dictated that Georgia beaches must reopen, and declared any decision-makers who refused to follow these orders would face prison and/or fines," Sessions' statement read."

Since their beaches are open and ours are closed, they are headed to Georgia for spring break.  They say they will practice social distancing once they get there.  🤔

I'm just going to continue to enjoy the sunshine here on my back porch.  😎

Where are they going to stay? On the beach? Where are they going to eat or get food? Where will they go if they get hurt or sick?

Good questions.  I'm not sure where they'll stay, but I'm guessing they have something in mind.  Around here most grocery stores (with limited hours) and restaurants are open (drive thru or carry out).

I used to love cruises, and have enjoyed many.
Unfortunately, now ships are easily contaminated and in my opinion should be forced to stop.
Anyone booking a cruise now is possibly spreading the virus while business and schools are closed and most remain home.

Even in my state, which has been ordered to stay at home, my next door neighbors had several adults and 8 to 10 children in the backyard playing and standing close to each other talking.  Just crazy!  Especially since there is an adult with severe medical issues living there.

And when they get sick and/or die, who will be to blame?

Yeah, we've already seen this play out.   Honestly, I don't care if they kill themselves but they will affect many, many other innocent people along the way.

And when the people they come in contact with get ill too? The residents seem to have no say in this.

Re: Heard some of our locals are headed to Georgia

When the "voice' whose information is the only I accept tells me to stay home, I blame the leadership in Georgia for leaving the beaches open.  Sometimes the adults in any situation have to step up and be counted and the backlash be d-mned.

We already saw that when Gov DiSantis was an irresponsible adult he let thousands of spring breakers on Florida  beaches endanger themselves, their families, and ultimately you, me, and anyone else who might come in contact with anyone who came in contact with one of them or someone they came in contact or someone who came in contact with someone who came in contact with one of them and....

And now the governor whose state shares our border still thinks it's safe to have his beaches open?    There oughta be a law -  one that says our political leaders pay consequences when they don't protect us from high school kids in college swimsuits and bikinis -  that's what  spring breakers are and not an adult in sight!
