That huge asteroid is getting closer to Earth but they "think" it will bypass us and be far enough away....
@Spurt Well, maybe not... I understand one of the fringe religious oracles is predicting 'the rapture' for sometime this month... Maybe this is the big one...
Ya never know....they said the asteroid image even looked like the asteroid was wearing a mask.... just perfect

I feel gratitude for my Governor and all the others who stepped up to do the right thing. No ducking and dodging for them.
@Drythe No idea why you're tagging me... But if it has to do with my opinion that having 50 governors deciding supply chain issues isn't working, so be it... Fine with me for the governors to manage most aspects of their state's operations, but where the supply chain of foods and other essentials is concerned, this is a national emergency and needs coordination across all the states...

Now that's a sentence that doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Might be a good day to have an extra glass of wine.

@suzyQ3 I do wish the mods would delete this tread. I am shocked at the way some of the posters are acting. I can handle it. I am not a shy lass, but now I know why some posters have left and will not come back.
I was trying to help. I guess it's not appreciated. Oh well.

Good grief...when and IF there is a shortage of anything moving forward, everyone will survive. The world isn't ending!! There are all kinds of protein sources. Everyone will manage. We have everything we need to survive at our fingertips. One phone call and we can have tons of whatever delivered to our doorstep. People before us have endured, made sacrifices we cannot even imagine.

(Now rest easy, enjoy that glass of wine anyway,
Just keep in mind this POSITIVE article about the asteroid .....although also keep in mind the original scientists studying the corona virus said it posed no threat to humankind...)
Don't be fooled by any hyped-up headlines you may have read: This week's asteroid flyby poses no threat to Earth or anything on it. The big asteroid 1998 OR2 will zoom within 3.9 million miles (6.3 million kilometers) of our planet early Wednesday morning (April 29). While that's a close shave in the context of the visible universe, which is more than 90 billion light-years wide, there's zero chance that the space rock will hit Earth on this pass, scientists stress.................

@Carmie, Believe me, been there, done that.
My opinion is that your post was not inflammatory or breaking news. If people are going to buy out a market's stock of meat, it won't be because you posted about a likely shortage.
