Yikes @SEGardener I'm sorry this has happened to you.

Interestingly enough, I had more problems with Amazon this past holiday than any other retailer.  Lost packages that I had to jump through hoops to have replaced, late packages and an open package with broken glass from sconces I purchased.

Well that's not good @Tori3569.  I don't know if it has anything to do with being Prime members but the only problem I can think of that we've had with Amazon is them not putting our packages around back on the picnic table with a large plastic box on top of it that says packages.  I got their attention though when I started asking CS for a $10 credit each time they didn't put our deliveries where they belonged. Rarely something might not show up the day its expected.

I've been a Prime member since day 1, so it's not that.  If I had to guess it might be because I live in NYC.  Lots of Amazon vans and trucks everywhere--I think the drivers are overwhelmed.  I live in a private house, but I can imagine how hard it is to deliver to a 60 unit apartment house.  In any event, Amazon isn't as great as it was several years ago as far as I'm concerned.

Whatever.  That is the risk you take when you purchase "as is" merchandise.   I had one bad experience with it and never bought anything   "as is" again.

Really?  At least her post was put into several paragraphs which made it easy to read.  If you feel you can't read that much, that is fine.  But why take it out on the OP when she wanted to state her opinion about an issue she is having with her orders?

I have had very good luck with AS IS clothing. I have not had much luck with NEW Valerie Parr Hill items. I have not ordered that many over the years. The ones I have gotten have been poorly painted ceramics, some ceramics with chips, lighted items that were not well lit, etc. I have returned more than I kept. I am done with her line.
