Good news for them, and their families, but i do not trust their leaders.

People who we DO trust wouldn't have held our people in the first place!!!

We need to learn to work with everyone - friends and enemies alike. I don't think anyone in the administration "trusts" them - but they are adult enough to know how to work with them for common goals.

I agree, just concerns me ,that they are getting so much money,i am sure some will go into things that it should not.

It's THEIR money - that we were holding frozen in US bank accounts (and other accounts around the world). It was basically oil sale profits - we held on to their money and refused to release it to them.

It's often reported in an inaccurate way to make it appear that we "gave" them OUR $$$$...

Good morning Terrier!  Thanks for posting this terrific news.  It's great to see diplomacy in action, rather than caving to the calls to carpet bomb, put our young people in harm's way and make the sand in the middle east "glow".

Grateful that cooler heads have prevailed.  Praying it continues.

If we did what some suggested on Thursday night - and showed "all our might" and refused to talk with Iranian leaders - they would ALL still be there, including the sailors!

The BBC broke the story and FNC has been gathering details.  Been waiting all morning for the fourth person to be identified.  Jason Rezaian, Amir Hekmati, Saeed Abedini and, possibly, Siamak Namazi.  Still waiting for confirmation.

Still waiting for the release of Robert Levinson.

@terrier3

this is great news!

i had not yet opened my emails or my news feeds and saw your post.

i have followed jason even before he had appeared on "parts unknown" with anthony bourdain. his family must be so thrilled!

i went to anthony bourdains twitter account and saw this....

I dearly hope this is theguardian.com/world/2016/jan...

it can be nerve racking going back and forth sometimes because of the lack of dual citizenship policy that iran has.

so glad that four of them have been released. lets hope we can bring more home soon and we continue to have productive dialogues and a better relationship with iran.

Don't fret.  This thread should be spiralling out of control and disappearing shortly.  5, 4, 3, 2...

May I suggest you try another channel...the news has been out for a while...FNC will delay it as long as possible.

Oh, psshaw.

I just thought you'd like to start celebrating ASAP!

This is HUGE news...and so welcome.

The Anthony Bourdain story (right before the WaPo reporter was imprisoned) was on again recently...it was heartbreaking to watch.

This is a win for diplomacy.  There shouldn't even be a question as to what is preferrable- war or no war- especially if the "no war" option works.  Which, so far, is showing that it does.

You have sacrificed nothing and no one.
