And it's still February. Not usual for at least another month or so. Our temps are supposed to be way above average next month...a welcome change after that polar vortex that had us in the -20's!

We still have a winter weather advisory, but the week should be warm (40's) and sunny. I'm confident the brown grass will appear by Friday and winter will be in our rear view mirror.

Doncha love a good thunderstorm? I'm south of you and we have several in the spring every year. Not yet tho. But it was in the upper 60's yesterday and the day before. It was 20-below last week!

I was born in NE. Visited my family there alot. I loved the thunderstorms there. I now live in Western Co. No rain or Thunder storms in sight...

I'm afraid of Thunderstorms. Always have been. Even with my so grown self today, I'm afraid of them. Now, add that to the lightning that often accompanies a thunder storm and I'm fit to be tied.

Is it a rare occurence for Nebraska to get Thunder Storms in February @Susan Louise ?

I used to have a cat who tried to get everyone to hide under the bed or behind the toilet with her whenever there was a thunderstorm. She was so sweet. She did NOT like thunder at all. She wanted us all to run to safety.

DH likes to sleep to rain and thunderstorm sounds. Sometimes when there's a real thunderstorm or rain at night I tease him that he's missing out on the real thing because he can't even hear it.
