I had one on the side of my chin that after years, started to bleed occasionally, but no change in color or shape.
I really freaked out because it had started to bleed!
The Dr. was confident that it was benign and it was.....whew!

Yes. I had a mole on my back, it didn't look suspcious but my pcp made me go to a dermatologist for a biopsy. He thought that was funny, he really did chuckle. He said "a biopsy makes no sense, I'll just excise it all and do he biopsy". That meant he would remove the mole entirely and biopsy it. It was benign but if it had been malignant, I would not have had to have a second procedure to remove it.
