{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} What a pitiful person.

I'm making stuffing today - ok - it's Whole Foods packaged but it's still stuffing.

Bon appetit!

It won't be off of my table anytime soon.

Maybe she can't cook. Who knows.

One year, we went to the famous Greens vegetarian restaurant for their New Year's Eve special dinner. A group of about seven came in, were seated, and given the menus for the dinner of several courses.

A well dressed big beefy looking guy, who'd obviously had a few, started yelling, "What do you mean they don't make hamburgers here!!!" It went on and on, while the rest of his party tried to crawl into a hole. "What kind of a place doesn't serve hamburgers?"

I think I dated him once.

Re: Having a Traditional Meal

I think it was rude of the daughter to talk like that about her dad. I think SHE has food issues. I think most people enjoy comfort food. I believe in eating healthy, and I also enjoy food. By the way, we love turkey, mashed potatoes, etc at different times of the year, especially in winter. We have it or something like it on Sundays a lot of the time. Nothing nicer than a house that smells good from good food cooking. Imo. Smiley Happy

ONE date.

Well, since I'm never going online dating again I don't have to worry about that!

He did pay for the meal. Sad. She also purposely forget his birthday and Father's Day and brags to him about what she did elsewhere on those days. It's very unfortunate.

WOW...she actively hates/dislikes her father.

What is her husband doing all the while she is openly disrespecting her dad? Sitting like a lump? If he had any self-respect, he'd have paid for the meal and then told her to never embarrass him like that again. Or...maybe he's as ignorant as she is and wasn't embarrassed at all.

Re: Having a Traditional Meal

Either they've had some rough patches in their relationship through the years or she's a selfish brat of a child....or both! It's one thing to say something that rude to him about the meal but then to purposely forget his birthday and Father's Day and then throw it up in his face makes her one ungrateful daughter no matter what kind of relationship they've ever had. He needs to get a backbone and call her out on her rudeness....I certainly wouldn't put up with that.

As for the Thanksgiving meal....sounds yummy. At our big family Thanksgiving dinner, we range in age from 2 all the way up to 80 and we would all be disappointed if we didn't have the traditional Turkey & Dressing, etc.
