Yep. I frequently eat out with friends for brunch. Most of the time we order things that we don't ordinarily make at home.

I can see my husband ordering this gentleman's choices-he likes turkey. End of story. And my husband isn't considered old.

Snotty little brat who obviously failed in the manners education.

Re: Having a Traditional Meal

When I first became vegetarian, the rudest remarks were directed at me, from friends and family.

ETA: I LOVE to cook the traditional meals!

What a snot! I can't believe anyone would be so rude . . .

I hope she's out of the will.

He did pay for the meal. Sad. She also purposely forget his birthday and Father's Day and brags to him about what she did elsewhere on those days. It's very unfortunate.

Re: Having a Traditional Meal

Thoughtless, patronizing and tacky!

When I go to a restaurant I order what I wouldn't make at home. Turkey for 1?

I've got a craving for meatloaf, Spam or chicken croquettes. Guess I'm absolutely decrepit.

Re: Having a Traditional Meal

Wow. I see nothing wrong with a traditional meal, whether it's the healthy version or not.

Her actions speak volumes about her. It's possible it says a lot about her upbringing, too, but not always. Without knowing the people personally, I can't place judgment in that regard.
