Everything was going great until I checked the preview and it had put in double of my bank interest. I went and checked what I had put in and I put in the correct amount but at the preview it still shows a double amount. So I went back and deleted the amount and checked once again the preview and it still doubled now, I don't know how to fix it and might have to go with H& R Block or buy the TT software. Have any of you had a problem with TT? Thanks.

My main problem with them - is that - since this is the first year I am not itemizing, I thought it would be simpler and less $$ to use the online version. Well - turned out - since I had a state refund last year I had to pay their premium rate plus they charged me extra to file my state return. Ended up costing me more than I paid when I itemized with their DVD version.

@cuddlesmama We don't use Turbo Tax Online; however I tried googling. The suggestion for people having problems similar to yours was to try using a different browser when logging into Turbo Tax. That doesn't make any sense to me, but thought I would just mention it.

To add to what @Allegheny mentioned, I would also reboot.
Sometimes when you make any kind of change in software, a reboot can reset everything.
IT specialists may disagree but I find it helps.

I haven't had a problem with them for years but my taxes are pretty simple and I finished mine a few weeks ago. Certainly they never doubled my interest. I use the free version on-line but maybe if you use the paid version where you get Support they can help you. I agree about rebooting and trying a different browser.

I would delete the entire entry not, just, the amount and then re-enter the bank information ,etc and the interest.

I would delete the entire entry also and start over.

TurboTax did this to me last year, so I switched to TaxCut this year and they did the same underhanded thing to me. They forced me to buy premium simply because I had one small dividend to claim. You can't back out of it.
I'm going back to paper next year. They're both crooks.

@PilatesLover ITA! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only old holdout who continues to do my own taxes on paper! I refuse to pay just to pay more taxes.
Since I stopped itemizing a couple years ago (not enough deductions), it's even easier than ever. I was worried about navigating the new forms this year, but because I only take the standard deduction (which has increased to $13,600 for over 65), it was really easy. I still have to pay (because I have two incomes), but it was a little less this year than the last two years. The state form is actually harder than the federal (I have to pay them too).

@2blonde, Ohio's state form is horrible. I have a lot more issues with state than federal. It's like that with everything.
I do taxes for estates at work and I can breeze through a federal 1041 return but the state gives me fits.
