It's kind of difficult to get my fall clean up done.  My landscaper is not too reliable.  He's a very nice man though.  He is overwhelmed with customers, I know.  I texted him but he didn't reply so I got worried about his welfare.  I finally called and he said yeah, we'll get it done.  I apologized for calling so early.  He's very even tempered so he didn't mind.

We have a tree that takes a long time to empty and that's what caused this.  It does every year.  Just needed to vent.  I'm not mad, I'm just worried...

Hi, QVC....how are ya?  Hope everyone is okay and not experiencing any hardship....It got very cold here and that's not helping.  I don't mind the cold and we only had a dusting of snow a couple of days ago.  Okay...time to hit the beach...LOL.....

Re: Having A Bit Of An Issue

We had the same issue here.  Our fall clean up guy who also mows the lawn finally came last week.  He and an assisitant took several hours and they did a great job!

He's coming back next Saturday to take down a tree way out back that is on its last legs and needs to go.

Re: Having A Bit Of An Issue

We are in the same boat with our landscape/handyman, he's great and I know I can count on him but he has become the Go To guy and is swamped. And now that it is winter he is also looking for other interior work, painting, light renovations, etc. He's coming out to get some final things done in our garage, but we'll see if it is done before we need to put the second car in it! LOL!!

Re: Having A Bit Of An Issue

I have 4 huuuuge trees in my yard.

It's winter. It's the cycle of nature.

This happens to me every year. I clean up my hard 3-4 times but some of my trees don't lose their leaves very early. My yard was raked/mulched and look great at the end of November.

Then came days of high winds which pretty much emptied my trees of leaves. The winds moved all the leaves to the fence.

Before I could do anything, we received 11" of snow. Then another 4".

I doubt I'll see the those leaves before April. It is what it is. There isn't anything I can do about it. I'm not going to worry.

Mother Nature is stronger than what I might want.

Re: Having A Bit Of An Issue

I think a lot of people are in the same boat.  It got cold so early in the fall and hasn't let up.  I still have raking and garden clean-up to do.  Those jobs can wait .. until a mild late winter day perhaps.

@77yangya

DH just asked me when we usually have our lawn guy clean up before winter.  I think it's time.  Then we won't see him again till spring.  We still have some green grass even  tho we had that hard freeze last week.

Re: Having A Bit Of An Issue

I have no outdoors to clean up ---am in an apt-- but the lawn guys were ontop of the 3 story buildings here blowing out the gutters yesterday. I am near Seattle and going thru a 4 day atmospheric river event--maybe 6 inches of rain in Seattle and way more on the coast and even down south to Oregon. Any snow in the mountains will melt and hit the rivers so major flood warnings are up. Also landslides are a thing too. It is very warm for this time of year--almost 60 yesterday in places--was 55 where I live and then the winds have been kicking up too. Right now, there is a calm before the next storm hits this p.m. going thru to Thursday---get it over before xmas hits!!!

Re: Having A Bit Of An Issue

Our clean up people are always prompt and on time., You know why? Because its us! We do all of our own yard work. Why not? We just don't see the point of wasting our money on things we can easily do ourselves. JMO.
