I don't remodel...I just move!  Lol

I couldn't stand the mess.  If I had to remodel, the only way I'd do it is if I could live somewhere else until it was finished.  Smiley Happy

 

Actually, I've never lived in a house or condo more than 5-6 years, so everything still looked pretty updated.  I usually bought with upgraded stuff already in it, so when the time came to sell, it wasn't too bad.

 

One note, though (not sure if others have mentioned it):

 

If you remodel and replace appliances, etc, a lot of it can be donated to Habitat For Humanity.  They sell appliances and building materials in their stores, and that helps to fund new houses that they build.

 

So a lot of stuff is not necessarily going in the landfill.  Also, a lot of stuff can be recycled.

Habitat for Humanity's store is called ReStore. All items can be donated and if you contact them ahead of time, they can tell you store hours and how to donate or what exactly can be donated.
