Maybe not today BUT in the last year I've certainly learned not to take things & life for granted as to tomorrow isn't guaranteed.
This year has been a rude awakening of how quickly life changes in a blink of a eye!😢💔

@CareBears wrote:@qualitygal I learn something new every day, or at least I try to, I consider myself a seasoned baker/cook but yesterday a friend of mine told me how to cook corn on the cob in the microwave, who knew, I have always boiled it or grilled it, how could I not know this?
We cooked the corn last night and it was delicious, see it just goes to show you, no matter what age you are there is always something to learn!
@CareBears Please share!

@tends2dogs After your corn has been cleaned, roll ears onto wax paper sheets, twist ends (like a tootsie roll), microwave until done.
The time will vary depending on your microwave, ours took 4 1/2 minutes and it turned out perfect!

I have learned to be happy for the smallest things..like good working feet that take me where I want or need to go.I know that for some people that would be a miracle.I never gave my body enough appreciation for just functioning well.I was more interested in how my body looked but now I realize that isn't so important.

One of my BFF's luvs, luvs, luvs turtles. Let us know about it. Maybe I can help my friend learn something new about turtles.
I love turtles too There’s too much info to post about this turtle so I'll only mention a few things about nesting. I also included a photo I took while she was working on her nest.
They may lay up to five clutches a year.
The female presses her throat against the ground looking for potential nesting sites.
She uses her hind feet to dig the nest. While digging, she may lubricate the area with bladder water to make the job easier. (You can see mud behind her in the photo where she’s been doing that.)
Very interesting, @cotton4me. You just don't hear information about turtles a lot. I bet she's a good Mom, too.
My BFF likes them so much, when I see charms, t-shirts, etc., I always send them to her.
