I don't know if I would call it a guardian angel, but it's a prompting. It has happened many times and when I do listen to it, it's been in my best interest.

Absolutely!
One year today on a 3 lane Interstate, at 65 MPH, another driver cut in front of me and slammed on breaks.
I had a second to decide to rear-end them, swerve to the right lane where I remembered I had just seen in my rear view mirror a small blue car with a child in the front seat, or hit the cement retaining wall on my left.
I chose to hit the cement retaining wall. I hit the wall, spun totally around, crossed into what had been my right lane, hit the small blue car, spun all the way around again into what had been the far right lane, hit that cement retaining wall, spun all the way around again.
The driver of the car who pulled in front of me and slammed on breaks, did not stop. The small blue car was totaled, but because I had hit the retaining wall first the driver and the three young girls in it were OK. My large SUV was also a total loss.
The HPs said they had never seen anyone walk away from such an accident, but we all did. They were physically fine. I had a concussion, three cracked ribs, a bunch of bad contusions, was briefly unconscious, but I too walked away.
Yep, someone was there for me that day. Most meaningful thing they did for me, was to see that no one else was hurt.
Three hard hits, crossing three lanes of traffic, spinning three times, three little girls, and three broken ribs. Wow!
Thank you Guardian.

@Drythe, reading your story gave me goosebumps. How scary! And how wonderful the outcome. ![]()

I have always felt my loved ones were watching over me and my family, but the feeling has intensified in the years since my Dad passed. Prior to my Dad's passing, I had never been awakened by hearing my name called during my sleep. My Dad told me in a dream it was time to have the surgery on my knee, and I would be fine. As I was wheeled into the OR that morning, I sensed my family around me; not just my Dad, but my grandparents, my aunts and uncles, and they were all smiling and letting me know they were there watching over me.

it made me recall my experience as a child when I was in an accident with my parents in the 70's, we were hit head on by a drunk drive. I always asked to sit in the middle of the front seat and the answer was always NO. Well, that night my mother asked ME if I wanted to sit in that sit and for some reason I said NO and went into the back. If I had indeed sat in the front I would have been killed. The car was V'd and the motor was pushed into the front seat at that point. My mother who was wearing her seat belt was trapped in the car and it took them so long to release her. She almost died. My Guardian Angel protected me that night.
I love hearing and reading about angel stories and experiences that others have had.
For me, they usally help by way of commands, as in telling me to do or not do something, that ultimately protects me and my husband, if we're driving together.
Like I'll get a prompt in my head that will tell me to, "Get out of this lane and move over to the right lane here now," or something like that, and there will be something blocking that other lane of traffic that you can't see, and if you would have stayed in that lane, hitting it could have caused some kind of accident for you.

Yes, I definitely feel protected daily by God and angels. One incident stands out. Twenty eight year ago...I was dating DH when we were in our late teens. I was driving back to his house with him when a car pulled out of a parking lot into our lane (seemed clear to us it was a drunk driver). I pulled the car over to the side and stopped. I was convinced that we were about to be hit head on. I thought the impact would be less severe if one of us were stopped. The car swerved and missed us. Unfortunately, we found out later that several miles down the road, the driver did hit head on with another car. I struggled with that for a long time. To this day, I don't like to drive unless I absolutely have to. I know angels sit on my shoulder each and every day! I have lived longer than I was foretold by a doctor of the life expectancy with women who have my lung disease. Guess the Lord still has plans for me!![]()

That's exactly what happens to me. One time I was driving on a two lane winding road when a voice in my head said slow down. I did and as I came arou d the next curve a herd of deer, must have been at least a dozen, were blocking the road. I would have crashed into them if I hadn't .

But I just could never get past the feeling that, to believe in something like this meant that I was special or privileged in a way that other innocents with "bad luck" were not. I guess what I'm saying is... why would I be deserving of a guardian angel when so many others seemingly are not? These are just questions I've asked myself. Certainly I'm not criticizing or belittling anyone else's beliefs. Like I said, I think it's wonderful so many of you have that type of faith.
You have one, whether you think you deserve one or not. She's there. BTW, we are supposed to name our guardian angels. Mine is Judaline.
