No.  I don't care what the number on the tag says.  I don't buy clothing based on the size.  I buy based on FIT.   I like to look good in my clothing and sometimes that means going up a size.  Mostly in fitted clothes because I don't like squeezing into clothing.  I've never had to go up two sizes, that's a lot.  Conversely I occasionally go down a size depending on the fit of a garment.

I don't buy oversized clothing.  If I need to size up or down, I will.  I wouldn't purposely buy something two sizes larger because I liked it just to wear around the house.  I would feel sloppy.

Never pay much attention to size, just fit.

A granddaughter and I went to a sporting store to check on sales and we both got a Nike sweatshirt.  I sized up to a medium and she went up to a extra large.  Teens seem to be going oversized these days.

I don't think she means buying something two sizes too big and baggy. She means if it fits well but the tag says 8 and you normally wear 4.

               I think you're right.

Looking down at what I'm wearing right now .... I know they are each a different size... all purchased from different places.

I like a lot of things oversized so it depends on the clothing item.  I like larger sweaters, sweatshirts, t-shirts, jackets, etc.  If I were shopping for a dressier item, then, no I wouldn't buy something 2 sizes larger just because that was all that was available.
