Have you ever purchased something, from anywhere, and lived to regret it?

I heard that phrase today, "and I didn't regret it,"  and that made me ask this question.

I've been lucky even if some things are in a drawer and not used, but nothing I can truly say that I regret the purchase.  By the time I purchase something, I know what I want/need and get it or I don't get it.  I don't get substitutes either, those I regret, because I can wait and go back and get what I really want.

How are you on that?

Yes, there have been many things I regret buying.  Some are lessons in learning to be more frugal.  Many are just dumb purchases.  Everyone makes mistakes.

Very few people can say they didn't regret a purchase. QVC sold radar detectors and GPS devices long ago. I bought both and rarely used them.

I regret purchasing tons of shoes, bags and clothes in the past!  What nonsense and such a waste of money!  I thought I had to have all of these things.  At the point in life I was in, I thought these things were "necessary" to make me look great for work and for social.  Now that I'm retired and older, I see how dumb I was!  Well, any how --- I still make purchases now and then --- to a much smaller degree -- that turned out to be not that great.  However, I think purchases over much more carefully now.  I have found that if I decided to buy a cheaper item, I usually do regret it, and end up getting the one I really wanted to begin with!

Yes. It happens all the time with clothes and shoes. I don't fret over it, though. My belief is that it's just going to happen with some purchases. It's just part of being a consumer.
