The only times I can remember was when I was in Brownies and Girl Scouts for our annual 4H Fair Parade.

Was in the band in high school and also road my horse in rodeo parades.

@Kachina624  - I second @Goldengate8361! Thank you for serving! Were you active duty for a long time? 

As for me and parades - I was a Girl Scout and a Girl Scout leader and Council Board member for many years, so I have marched in "a few"!

Everyone here who did post about being in a parade sounded like it was really fun.

Now I want to march in a parade!

Yes, when I was in junior high, I was a baton twirler in our Memorial Day parade.  I was pretty bad if I remember correctly.

When I worked at Macy's in White Plains, NY, back in the late 70's, we were asked if we wanted to be participate in the Thanksgiving Day parade.  I did it because I knew no way would I ever get the chance again.  We wore a costume and just walked along the route.
