Yes, I think it was used in the 1989 horror comedy movie " Warlock " with Julien Sands & Lori Singer .

The character played by Richard E. Grant , who was tracking down the Warlock spoke this word " grimoire " in discussing a particular book and pages that had been hidden so they could not be reassembled . It was to prevent the Devil from destroying the world
