Have you ever done your airline check-in on your computer b/f going to the airport?

I'm leaving tomorrow morning and want to have the check-in over and done with so I don't have to stand at one of those machines and juggle my purse/frequent flyer card/boarding passes, etc. in my hand with all the confusion going on around me.....I will have one bag to check....will I just go straight to the counter so they can weigh it? It seems that you have to do everything on your own these days and the procedures changes all the time.......
