I was watching a commercial for Thursday Night Football and people did things like walk into glass holding 2 cups of coffee and a guy dropped his cell phone in the toilet.
That started me thinking that I have (several times) almost (or did) walk into the men's restroom by mistake. I realized it as soon as I saw the urinals or even men standing at the urinals! I don't think they even realized it, they were 'concentrating' Ha!
The Olive Garden Restaurants I go to (2 of them) are the reverse of the bathrooms. The other day I started toward the men's room and thought, "I'd better check" so I looked up and there was that sign...Men! Ha!
Has anyone here ever done that?

I almost did, one time at Reb Lobster. The ladies and the mens , are side by side. It was a time when I was under a lot of stress. I just started to approach the door, and my daughter grabbed me, and pulled me back
I would have been so mortified if I would have gone in

Yes. I was in a rush at O'Hare, which was pretty much a weekly situation for me, and I ran into the restroom, mistakenly heading into the men's side. I ran out as quickly as I had dashed in. Yikes!

In my much younger, wilder days I have gone in to the men's room - and it wasn't by mistake - just couldn't take those womens rooms lines!

this happened many years ago.
I was out with a girlfriend (before marriage) just partying having a good time. We decided to use the ladies restroom. Well a whole throng of ladies-men decided to use the restroom all at the same time. We got mixed into a huge crowd (men) and we got pushed into the men's room, we each let out an OH NO, we ran out of the bathroom and found the ladies room. We still laugh about that incident to this day.

I've never almost done it by accident but, rather, I did it on purpose....a few times. There was a line at the women's and it was a one stall bathroom so I went in and locked the door. If I remember correctly, I had friends with me and they kept watch for me and then went in after I was finished.

Several times!
When casinos first came to AC, there always LOOOOOOOOOONG lines for the ladies room. NEVER a line for the mens room. So us ladies would have 1 stand guard by the mens room while the rest of use used it.
Arriving in Tahita at their airport, I walked passed this room w/this amazing waterfall flowing down a colorful wall. I walked in admiring the artwork-Henri Paul Gauguin murial behind the flowing waterfall. As I was walking around the wall which was situated in the middle of the room, I noticed men standing around it looking at me. When I looked down, I realized what I was looking at was actually a HUGE urinal. I was SOOOOOOOOOO embarrassed I ran out of there w/a quickness hoping I did not run into any of those men on the rest of my trip.

My daughter has done it several times when there was a huge line in the women's rest room. I remember she told me that it was a one room men's room and when she came out a man was standing there and gave her the meanest look but he didn't say anything.
I've almost done it in the movie theatre before. In a few places I've eaten it's difficult to tell what the picture is. It's just a picture and I've stood there trying to figure out if it is a woman wearing a dress or if it is a man with wide pants on. Ha! I've actually stood outside of the bathroom waiting for a woman to go in.

My girlfriends and I once went into a mens room because the ladies was jammed - the men warned us we may see something but they didn't know we were all nurses and saw men's junk all the time.

A couple of years ago, I entered the restroom In a campground. The door was propped open and couldn't see the sign on the door. When I entered there was a toddler boy walking around and other then that it seemed empty. I was wondering where his mother was.
i walked to the last stall and opened the unlocked door. There was a man sitting on the toilet. I stammered something and ran out. I don't know who was more surprised ... me or him.
Not by mistake but another time while attending a festival about 1.5 hours from home. I had to go urgently. In a restaurant, there was a long line to the ladies room and the men's room was empty.
To avoid having an accident, I ducked into the men's room (single stall) and locked the door. I hurried up in case a man wanted to use the restroom. As I opened the door and rushed out I bumped into a man who was in a hurry to get in. I started to stammer that I was sorry and tried to avoid eye contact with the man until he called my name, Boy was I embarrassed. It was my immediate boss. He stared to laugh and he thought it was funny.
Another time while we were in Vietnam, I had to go on an emergency basis and the line to the ladies room was long and the bus was waiting for us. My husband used the men's room and when he came out he said it was empty. I snuck in. There were about 7 stalls in the room but the the main door locked. So I locked it and went into a stall. While I was in there a man wanted in. He was pounding and screaming and even kicking the door. When I came out I had to face him. I have no idea what he was saying, but I bet he was swearing at me. He was very angry. I got out of there fast.
Life can be complicated when you have Celiac Disease. When I have to go, I have little time to find a rest room.
