You might not want to go down this rabbit hole. There are numerous sites when people can find out "truthful" information and publish it for everyone's reflection. Was I surprised....I never paid for the detailed information so I have no idea how bad this horror show extends. I saw all kinds of wrong information....just for starters, I've lived in the same house for 30 years...but addresses appear for me in ghetto areas of LA where I supposedly lived intermittently throughout the years. Why or where does this come from?
I want my name off of any of these internet quasi-records of individuals. I found a site that describes for free how you can do it for yourself (concerned to give these websites ANY information) and others where you can pay someone to remove your information. I'd gladly pay to remove myself if I knew it was legit.
Have you had any experience with these websites and been able to remove your name? I appreciate technology, but this is not only invasive and deceptive...I would think it is illegal.

When I googled my name, it said I died 7 years ago.

I have the same name as a high end realtor so my info is pages behind hers.
Some basic info on me, nothing derrogatory, but I don't get many spam/scam calls or emails. I don't have any social media like FB or IG which I'm sure helps.
I don't care about old or incorrect addresses. If someone wants to contact me in the 'hood, all the better! 😁

Most of what's on the internet is information that can be found by searching public records. It's all legal or this information couldn't be posted.
Although it's been some time ago I looked, People Finders included current name, maiden name, address or city and state only, previous cities or states, age, possible relatives, criminal history, speeding tickets, real estate transactions, public telephone numbers, and other similar public records. Usually, there's a charge to find more detailed information about someone such as criminal history.
It can be removed from the internet, but others can dig it up and repost it.

There are other people with my first and last name, so I get mixed results.

@Foxxee I agree with most of what you said and probably most of the information is correct as it can be found in public records. But the addresses as well as some other information listed is incorrect information and why would anyone intentionally or probably unintentionally make it seem as if you were living elsewhere and moving in and out of your home....has nothing to do with "ghetto" or otherwise.
I am not big on social media and a fairly private person. I think if someone taught a class on how to remove the incorrect information...they would make a some cash.

Not understanding your reply. I don't recall saying anyone would post erroneous information about anyone...on the contrary, they want to post the correct address, and it would have nothing to do with "ghetto" or otherwise.
People move all the time and addresses obtained from these websites might not be current at that time, but I found those I looked up to be correct...either the past or current address or city and state were correct.
What I did say was if someone removed their own public information from the net, someone could locate it in the public records and post the current correct information somewhere. How about Twitter where I have seen that done?
