The fact that they are saying some people won't receive one until September is inexcusable. What is the reason? Why are people still waiting to receive their unemployment checks? I understand these are unpresidented times but the situation is not going to get better for a long time. I may be in that unemployed boat soon and I am afraid. I am looking for healthcare in case that happens and that's even more frightening.

No, I have not received. I live in NY and I’m completely stressed out by what lies ahead.

I don't know - I haven't been to the bank recently.  My statement should be here in a couple of days - I'll know then if I don't get to the bank before.

BUT - the other day, I did get a letter from the IRS stating that it has been direct deposited. 

I live in NYC... I don't know if it makes any difference.

@SuhseK: Speaking of Direct Deposit: I worked w/a man who would not use DD because he said his wife would get the money out of checking before he did. Kinda silly

My understanding is many companies issue a card type thingie for DD.

@SharkE---just curious since I haven't received mine yet, were you notified  by IRS before the DD?

No, nor do I.  But 2 of my grandchildren did.  They were able to make a couple car pmts, since they aren't working
