When I was a teenager, someone mentioned that I had a long, pointy nose. That always stuck with me and I have always secretly wanted a nose job ever since then. I do have a long, pointy nose, but it never bothered me until someone said something about it.

I like my nose now. I don't want it to look older!

I once lost about 40 pounds after being sick and I was already slim to begin with. When I lost all that weight, I swear my nose took up 3/4 of my face. It was the only thing that didn't shrink.

No, you're not imagining it! Depending on the original shape of your nose, it can begin to noticeably droop downward as you age.

LucyGoose, when I was a teenager some kid who sat behind me in school would comment on how my nose was crooked-I have a bump that you can see in profile. I wanted a nose job for the longest time even though my nose isn't bad from the front. Now I have worse things to contend with so I don't worry about it-

Maybe Pinocchio was just a puppet getting up there in years? The explanation posted by Marp is really interesting, though.
On droopage...my family attended the NYC World Fair (1964? Right before it closed), and of course we queued up to see Michelangelo's "Pieta" sculpture, with its mourning Madonna leaning over the body of her son.
Her breasts were sculpted almost as low as the belt of her garment and I said to my mother, "Aren't her breasts in the wrong place?" Mum just looked at me sardonically and answered, "Hmmm...you'll find out."
