Has anyone read a book(s) on the line of Downton Abbey?

Just kind of crossed my mind...I'd be interested. Or point me in the direction to find them. Thanks.

I really enjoyed the below book and we discussed here at one time. I believe it is a true story.

Below Stairs: The Classic Kitchen Maid's Memoir That Inspired "Upstairs, Downstairs" and "Downton Abbey" Paperback

I'm not sure if you like mystery but if you do there are two authors I have read and are good. Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs series, a female investigator in England around the early 1930s. But, closer to the Downton Abby time frame is a series of books by Charles Todd. The main character is Ian Ruthledge who is an inspector for Scotland Yard during the 1918 time frame.

That is a wonderful series. So lucky to stumble on it at the library.

I recently read a trilogy of books by T.J. Brown. The first one is Summerset Abbey and I thoroughly enjoyed them all.
