My nephew is coming down from Canada to the South for Christmas and has planned to visit us. He has 3 children and I was trying to think of a healthy, but child acceptable treat for his children, so I thought about the Mrs. Prindables apples.
The reviews I've seen aren't favorable. Has anyone ordered them and tried them yet?

What do you think is "healthy" about these?

@Group 5 minus 1 It's an apple covered in chocolate chips. Better than a Snickers, and it is Christmas after all. Perhaps, just for you, I should have written "kid friendly" treat.

Not really. There is a lot of sugar in an apple.

@Group 5 minus 1 I'm sure they get their broccoli at home.
Did you have information about the quality of the apples since that is what I asked.

We have ordered Ms. Prindables many times. Always had positive experience. My grandchildren like them, as do my adult children, my husband and I. You cut them in wedges, and yes they are covered with sweets, but there is certainly more apple than coating.
It is a special treat for the holidays.

@Georgiagrama I order them every year. They have always been good but if not the Q is good at making not so good food purchases right. My grandkids go nuts when they see the Prindables box arrive.I understand they are good motivating rewards. I usually get the TSV every year and again at Easter.

My teacher daughter received her order on Friday; she will hand them out at school around the 19th. The apples arrived in great condition, and the one we tried was as good as we’ve come to expect.
I would be wary of reviews unless they were written in the last few days. My daughter placed an advance order months ago, and the apples did not ship until last week. The first shipments are just now being received.

@Georgiagrama Do you have a local candy store? Or if you live near a mall with Saks Fifth Ave. or Neiman as they may have a dept. that sells goodies. Graham Chocolates is about 15 or 18 miles from me but they have they best Truffles, chocolates, taffy apples. Check them out online but shipping is on the high side.
