Has anyone (not a relative) said something to you that hurt right to the core of you?

That happened to me this week. I think it was uncalled for and just plain mean. I don't know why it was said. I didn't provoke it. I think it just undermined my confidence. I have had some cries over it, and I know that it is something that will take me a long time to get over.
