I talked to my financial advisor about it, he advised me not to invest in bitcoin....I took his advice.

It's designed to circumvent regulations and laws. Made for the black market, organized crime, and money laundering, basically. Most who have invested in it do not use it for those purposes, but their good money is mixed right in with the bad money.  If some sort of banking authority ever manages to regulate and control bitcoin, then it might be really cool. But right now, it's not for me at all.
