@happycat wrote:I just looked at Amazon and I think these prices are jacked up and I thought that was illegal.
2 purell advance hand sanizers 8 oz each are 49.00
The equate brand, 2 of those, 8 oz each are 38.00
This is ridiculous.
Can you report that to someone at Amazon? I thought they were cracking down on price gouging.

Swanson's Vitamins online still has a selection at reasonable prices. They have Organic sanitizers as well. As of noon, March 5th. As always, check for promo codes to get the best deals. Hope this helps!

Would alcohol wipes help? Baby wipes?
I planned a vacation at the casino a few weeks ago, I stocked up on hand sanitizer, wipes, etc. This was prior to coronavirus but I'm also trying to avoid flu & pneumonia. I always assume the casino is a petrie dish.

@Susan-QVC What happened to the posts that were on the version of this that you deleted? Isn't it customary to move them?

Have you tried bathroom wipes, baby wipe that type of stuff?
The shortages appear to be online.

BTW, I just heard on the news that the FDA says there have been no controlled studies showing that commercial hand sanitizer are proven effective against the Corona virus. Lysol & Microban claim that their products are effective on hard surfaces Corna-Like viruses.
To make your own:
75% rubbing alcohol and 25% skin oil put in a spray bottle.
Vodka works as well as long as it is 120 proof (60% alcohol).

There are a lot of products with alcohol, like mouthwash. Wonder if travel Listerine would work to carry with you?

I just bought the ingredients online to make my own. I bought them on the A and my total was only 13.00. I bought 2 essential oils (tea tree and lavender) & vegetable glycerin...I already have the aloe vera, alcohol, & witch hazel. I just googled homemade hand sanitizer recipe. You do have to be careful though as it HAS to have at least 70% alcohol in it or it will be useless. (it might be 60 something percent)
This is just crazy, but hey at least I will have some nice hand sanitizer that I use ALL day long anyways even without the coronavirus scare. I have a few bath & body works left as i bought them when they were $1 a piece. I did go to Walgreens today and in the travel section they actually had a couple Purell bottles (small ones) that have the rubberized case on them so you can hang them on a bag, etc...I bought 2 of them. Then at my local grocery store they had the standard small bottles (grocery store brand) for $1.00. I bought a couple of them. As I said they'll be used eventually lol.
I hope you are either able to find some or make your own!! Stay safe//keep washing those hands that's the BEST thing we can do!!
