Are political discussions allowed?

Threads are routinely removed when they are political in nature, but many political POSTS that are buried in benign threads are not removed unless someone hits abuse.

Since Gretta Garbled arrived on the scene, she has infiltrated every thread with her political agenda, but I don't think the OP minds that one bit.

Ironic isn't it?

The Graham thread? I skipped that thread. I never watched or followed him. Is that what you're talking about wookie? You can contact the Social Team about the moderation. I think because it's a HBD thread it doesn't fall into religious.

It's religious inside, yet gloriajean specifically, and Sunala probably, were made to move to AF. Sunala's thread was mostly about wishing everyone a peaceful weekend, but the tiltle was written in Hebrew. People complained, and sometimes posted unkind things on her threads. The same thing happened to GJ.

I didn't realize what the posts said. Maybe it should be moved (vs removed) to another forum?

You mean she posts her views, much like many others do?

Re: Has anyone contacted QVC about the uneven moderation here?

I do know a lot of really good posters that I miss a lot are not posting anymore.

Whether that is due to moderation or to their own desires, they are missed.

And, might I add, a couple are not posting that I honestly do not miss at all. Smile

As far as Billy Graham, sadly there will not be many more years to wish him Happy Birthday so I say let it slide.

Re: Has anyone contacted QVC about the uneven moderation here?

I'm pretty sure they're aware of it and want nothing to do with it... I think they essentially keep these forums against their better judgment, to provide free market research (which they then often promptly ignore) and because they know significant fall-out that would emerge if they closed them... Let's face it, their primary purpose is probably to draw people to the website in hopes that we shop at some point. The uneven moderation is annoying and personally, when the hue and cry went out for 'better' moderation and for kinder and gentler forums that led to the series of posts and ongoing commentary from 'social', I never assumed more 'active' moderation was not going to result in a positive outcome... Personally, I try to simply take the boards for what they are and to not to get too ticked, except on those occasions when the management of them seems grossly uneven and inappropriate. I do find it both humorous and annoying that 'social' is all to ready to comment and play nice until you raise a question they simply don't want to answer or an issue they don't want to touch, and then things get very, very quiet...

Politics are not allowed here. You seem to live in a world of double standards.

I'm thinking that they remove anything written in non-English writing, as they (and we) wouldn't know exactly what it says and means. Avoids all kinds of future problems.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

i think the vitriol posted towards each other is a much bigger issue than any topic that may or may not be allowed.
